Corn Flake Cake Recipe with Guava

Corn Flake Cake Recipe

Corn cake is delicious and is even better with guava, isn't it? Here at TudoReceitas I share with you this recipe for corn flake cake with guava paste, very practical to make in a blender and with ingredients that everyone has at home: wheat, milk, sugar, flake, egg, oil, yeast and guava. The result is a full-grown, fluffy and slightly moist cornflake cake that goes very well for breakfast or lunch and is sure not to leave anyone indifferent!

I had never made a flocked cornmeal cake before, just with mimoso cornmeal (fine cornmeal) and it really looks different! Flocão flour leaves the cake slightly moist and with some crunchy bits, if you've never tasted it, it's worth trying. Check out how to make guava flakes cake step by step in pictures below.

Ingredients for making corn flake cake with guava paste:

1 cup of wheat flour (140 grams)

1 cup of sugar (160 grams)

1 cup of milk (240 milliliters)

 ½ cup of corn flake

¼ cup of oil (60 milliliters)

 2 eggs

1 tablespoon of baking powder (shallow spoon)

 1 cup of chopped guava

How to make corn flake cake with guava paste:

First, beat the flocão flour in a blender until it gets finer. Place in bowl and mix with flour and sugar.

Tip: It doesn't matter if you can't beat all the flake until it's smooth, the flakes give the cake a delicious crunch!

Beat the eggs with milk and oil in a blender. Keeping beating, add little by little the dry ones from the previous step until everything mixes very well. If you prefer, place the blender mixture in the bowl and stir with a spoon or fouet until you get a lump-free dough.

Finally add the yeast and stir a little, just to mix. Transfer to a greased and floured pan and sink in the guava pieces. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 30-40 minutes or until your guava flake cake passes the toothpick test.

Remove the cornmeal flocão cake with guava paste from the oven and let it cool a little before unmoulding. Then unmold and enjoy with a cup of coffee. Enjoy your food!
